Dear All
I just wanted to send a great big ‘thank you’ from the charity and communications teams for the support that was given during the two day Radio City outside broadcast last week. It was terrific to see so many of you getting involved and supporting us to raise a fantastic £33,000 over the two days. Clips of some of the best bits can be found here – some of the photo can also be found here.
And that is just the beginning. Radio City will be fundraising throughout the year through their ‘Cash for Kids’ campaign and hope to raise £100,000 towards our appeal for the new hospital.
We are very conscious here in the charity team that we could not do our job without the support of all the staff at Alder Hey – providing case studies, opportunities for visits and access to patients, as well as our numerous and sometimes bizarre requests to the Estates department.
We will be launching our capital appeal to the public in the autumn and aim to raise a whopping £30million so that we can help make a difference in all areas of the new hospital. So there will be plenty of opportunity to get involved and support the charity as well as having lots of fun in the coming 12 months.
Many thanks once again to you all.
Best Wishes
Clare White,
Director of Charities
