Get involved with our Alder Hey Vision
Almost 700 members of staff have been part of one of the vision briefing held across the trust in the last month. To help us develop the next part of the Alder Hey Vision, we’re looking for staff to help us. You are invited to be considered to be part of the team to support the discussions and workshops around ‘our values’.

Alder Hey Achievers Awards 2012
Vote today and make a difference in the AHAA 2012 Awards!
Nominations are already being received for the Alder Hey Achievers Awards 2012. Don’t forget that all staff, patients and families can make a nomination for a member of staff for the following categories:
Clinical Innovation – individual or team, who has developed, designed or re-designed a treatment or intervention around the needs of the patient.
Imagine Award for Patient Experience - those who make our patient’s experience extra special.
Leadership Award – for an individual who has supported delivery of our vision.
Learner of the Year – someone who has overcome barriers to return to learning or those who have demonstrated commitment to personal development for the benefit of patients or a service.
NEW Research Award - for a researcher or research team who have undertaken/ are undertaking research to improve delivery of care to advance the treatment or care of our patients.
Service Transformation – an individual or team who has made a demonstrable difference to how the service is delivered.
Unsung Hero – someone who makes the difference by going the extra mile.
The deadline for all nominations is the end of January 2012. People can nominate via My Alder Hey, Intranet, Alder Hey’s website or by completing a nomination form which are available in the restaurant and on the wards.
Last year's Alder Hey Achievers Awards ceremony was a truly memorable occasion and provided a fantastic opportunity to recognise and celebrate some of the excellent achievements of our staff.

Last week to complete NHS Staff Survey 2011 - Deadline Friday 16th December
If you were one of the members of staff chosen at random to complete the national staff survey, you have until this Friday to complete and return it.

Trust Brief 2011
A reminder that ALL staff members are welcome to attend Trust Brief which is held monthly in the Education Centre. This is an opportunity to hear updates from across the Trust and receive key information.
For those unable to attend, the narrative from Trust Brief is made available a few days after on the staff Intranet.
