What is community physiotherapy?
A team of physiotherapists and assistants highly specialised in treating children aged 0-19 years with long term physical difficulties in various community settings.
We actively encourage parent participation and welcome the opportunity to involve parents with our service development and with the services offered to their child.
Children with recent injuries e.g. broken leg, chest infections will be seen by the Physiotherapy team based at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital.

Areas we cover:
We will see children who live in or attend school within the following postcode areas:
L1, L2, L3, L4, L5, L6, L7, L8, L9, L11, L12, L13, L15, L16, L17, L18, L19, L24, L25, L27.
We also cover the Liverpool side of L14 & L28 though some addresses within these postcodes fall into Knowsley and would be seen by their services if the child does not attend a Liverpool school.
For children living in or attending school in L20, L21, L22, L23, L30 & L31 they would be seen by our South Sefton Team - please see their web page. They also see some children living or attending school in the L10 area and we may see some on the Liverpool side of L10 also.
We also actively promote 24 hour postural care for appropriate children, please see our leaflet for further information.
