Dear Parents, Relatives and Carers
When a child is admitted to hospital it can be a very stressful time and things may be forgotten. When preparing to come to the hospital, please ensure that you bring with you an adequate supply of your own medication as the hospital will not be able to supply you with any.
Thank you for your co-operation
Dear Parents, Families and Children
We know at Alder Hey hospital how important toys are to all our patients. We know they play a critical role to their recovery and how bringing a favourite toy into hospital can make all the difference.
However, toys are a major source of infection. Here at Alder Hey we have been reviewing our stock of toys to ensure we are totally confident they can all be effectively cleaned.
To help us minimize the risk of cross infection could we ask you to:
· Ensure any toys you bring into hospital are clean. All soft toys should be machined washed before bringing into hospital. Please wash your toys weekly if your child is here for a longer stay
· Keep the number of toys brought into hospital to a minimum
· Don’t share your toys with other children
· If your child has played with any hospital toys in their bed space, please give back to ward staff to clean rather than putting back into the general store
Please help us to keep infections to a minimum.
Thank you
