Children's Health Park Evaluation

Throughout July, teams from Acorn and Balfour Beatty Healthcare presented to staff, Clinical and Corporate User Groups, Clinical Business Units, the Executive Design Group, Trust Board members, the Foundation Trust’s Children and Young People’s Forum and a group of external stakeholders.

The majority of the audiences, with the exception of the external stakeholder group, were asked to review and assess the design and functionality of the bidder’s proposed plans for the Children’s Health Park.

The outcome of this assessment process will be reported to the Trust’s Executive Design Group.

The two bidding companies will also receive comments following their presentations which they may wish to incorporate into their final bids to be submitted in November.

Later this year, the bidders will submit their detailed plans for Stage 2 of the Children’s Health Park .Once again, staff will be invited to evaluate the design which will include: the outpatients department, therapies, the pharmacy and some office accommodation.
